Does it mean solar panels or sod on the roof?

As a matter of fact, no.  Many consider 'green building' a certain combination of building materials or methods.  But they are missing the essence of the concept.   It would be more correct to consider green building an 'attitude'.

Why an 'attitude'?

Sovereign is focusing on the visible signs and immediate results of adopting an attitude in all we do that helps lower energy bills, improve indoor air quality, and reduce the impact upon the environment.   No one feature must be included or excluded.

Well, perhaps one 'feature' must be included.   The feature?  It is constant awareness of the effect decisions made concerning the dwelling have upon the owners, their community, and the world at large.

This attitude, or lack of it,  results in choices made by the builder.
