Sovereign Wins National Construction Quality and Customer Service Award
Over 1,000 builders across the country were eligible to participate in the ACE Award competition. Sovereign choose to participate to find out how really good our systems actually were. We had the people and the methods that come from over 200 years of combined building experience. Our customer service procedures were based upon results driven systems, not just well intentioned efforts.
But, how would they stack up when compared to builders across the country ? Would the methods driving our success in the Columbus market be perceived by a panel of experts to be worthy of national recognition?
The ACE (Award for Construction Excellence) Program panel of experts examined the most minute construction methods, i.e., how we tape windows to prevent air infiltration. They watched as our people meticulously added securing screws to our subfloor and interior partitions to reduce floor squeaks. They examined the steel reinforcing in our block wall systems and checked for the proper blocking for added strength.
But that wasn't the end of the examination. They contacted customers. How did Sovereign uphold their post-closing service commitments? Did the service department schedule required maintenance and meet their promises? And most importantly, were the customer service files complete, up-to-date and reflect the actual level of service being afforded to Sovereign Homeowner's.
The result? Sovereign was named the national award winner as the best builder in America for 1994.
The people that truly are Sovereign Homes were thrilled to receive the national recognition.
It proved to them, and hopefully to new home buyers as well, that we are accomplishing our goal, which is, simply, not to be the biggest builder in the Columbus market, but one of the best!
